Texting Etiquette
We all know that there's a social etiquette. There's an etiquette for practically everything.
But is there one for texting?
It got me wondering one day. If you're out to meet someone, and that person texts and tells you to meet somewhere, do you have to reply "ok", or is it perfectly acceptable not to reply at all?
Now, it may seem obvious in that situation, but let's tweak it a little. What if someone texts and tells you, we're meeting at Z, come later if you can! Is it acceptable not to reply then?
What if you're in the middle of texting someone, and after a few messages back and forth, suddenly he/she stops replying when neither of you has said bye! Is that perfectly fine, or do you have a right to feel slighted?
What if, instead, you text someone and say "Haha yeah right. I'll see you tomorrow!", and you get a reply that goes something along the lines of "But I am right!", do you have to reply? I mean, you already said bye - but the other person is stil replying! Why?! Does... (more)
